Song Reviews

Funk town rock

I love the high tempo funky rock sound on this one. Clearly David Wayne Moore took a lot of his effort in the studio on this one, as the vocals come across crisp and clear with clean key changes and great bridges through the entire song. The song is a great one to dance to as it hits a light hearted hip pop note with me. The degree to which this would work on the dance floor at school dances, diners and bars across the world is a reach I would like to see myself.

Honky Tonk Tme!

Really nice set up during the intro, reminiscent of Gilly's or Downtown Nashville. All the band and instruments are complementing each other through this rowdy story of love lost. Wonderful harmonies top off the chorus, and I'm pretty sure I even caught a key change towards the end. Love the Guitar tones and sweaty licks calling for some more trouble on the dance floor, with a great uptempo vibe to keep you warm!

Wow amazing song

The music had great sounds and tones that really grabbed my attention. Songwriting and vocals were on point and brought as much to the song as the music did. Very well made and I really did enjoy it a lot. Just wanted to give you a little feedback didn’t have anything negative to say about it at all. Thanks for your time

Thanks G.W.Scott

Very Nicely Done!

Love the production! Do you record at the house? Your voice kinda reminds me of Frank Zappa. Did you ever listen to any of this stuff? I really like the lyrics too - did you write them? Do you do the guitar work? Love the pause after "She can kiss my" so much better and more effective than actually saying it.

Nice Bluesy,Country Song

I enjoyed this slightly tongue in cheek song. A nice bluesy feel that rocks along nicely. A good pounding bass and drums oscillates between vocal and a great lead guitar. This is the first time I have heard David Moore but I will look out for him again!

Love the Drive on this song

What an ass kickin' song you got here David Wayne. It's got 'everything' in it and deserves a spot on a Big country radio show out there in the World where truck drivers can boogie down the road with the peddle to the metal. I see you play all the instruments on it...'Excellent' work, man! The Bass bottom drive is powerful and the lead licks right behind it carry it all the ass kickin' way. Congrats on this number! Thanks for sending me this song to review. Now I'm gonna go hear some more of your stuff. ROCK ON! ~ gizzmow Bonham, Texas

I'm getting Real Good- David Wayne Moore

Exciting, energetic, quirky, and cheeky and catchy. The five words that came to my mind before I was halfway through the song. And add to that the thought that this sounds like a modern day Elvis and you have a winning combination . I'm new to reviewing songs on N1M but this song has totally impressed me with the writing and production. I'd give this a 4.5 out of 5 Stars! It probably should be 5! Keep up the great work!

I'm Getting Real Good review

In writing reviews, I always try to get a feel on what the artist is trying to accomplish with the song they have submitted. Sometimes it's simply the artist wanting a review on them as the artist and sometimes they are seeing if it is good enough to pitch to publishers and their artists. You look at different things with the type of objective for the song. As far as pitching as the artist, you have a nice approach. The track is solid with good guitar licks. Your vocals are clear but could use a possible remix. If pitching for a publisher, you may have a little more problem selling the tune. It has a catchy title and theme, but most publishers today are looking for the 'next big hit' and they would see this one as a good song, but not better than what their own staff writers are writing for their clients. I myself, really enjoyed the song though. Keep writing and send more in anytime. Good luck...

Happy go lucky rock´n roll

I'm Getting Real Good @ Being Lonely is for me a bit sarcastic happy go lucky rock´n roll song. The song has a catchy swing rock beat. Is well played and the mix is pretty good as well. The lyrics is as so many other songs a bitter/sweet mix of a story about stranded relationships and tell the story of a way to comfort and justify ourself to be able to put it behind us and look ahead. The lead vocal sound a bit to compressed and could use some reverb. The backing vocals is real cool and fits the song just perfect. Take a listen folks ! Keep up the good songwriting ! All the best -Kris

Nice!

Love the drum intro! I like the production sound and the the tempo of the along with the depth of sounds. I can feel the hard work and heart in this showing you've put in some dedicated work on your art. I love the message. More artist should study the roots of their culture of art more to be better at their own art. Keep up the good work and stay in the lab creating new material to stay fresh and on your toes. If you're ever looking for a hip hop collaboration hit me up I'm versatile. Peace!

Fun lyrics

Nice intro , fun lyrics and very easy to relate to for any man. I like the Guitars Rhythm and the leads. Has a great Country feel as well as a good dance beat. The pick up temp at the ending works well. Nice job.

Oh yeah what a brilliant uncompromising start, you know I’m a sucker for a great introduction and this is exactly that lived it. What follows isn’t in anyway a let down or nor can it be called ‘after the Lord Mayors show’. The percussions choice really drives the whole thing for the guitarist and the vocalists who seemed to be enjoying the whole experience and that resulted in the expressions and exiting production of a really vibrant and I’m sure it will be a great song success. Well done

my thoughts

OK, the band is rockin right out of the chute.I LOVE the drum intro. However, you lost me on the first lyric line. You should of phrased it differently, used different words , SOMETHING. The line is to crowded and doesn't flow properly. That being said, the lead player is rippin it. The rest of the lyric's and phrasing is fine. Every line counts !! This band is obviously well seasoned in the studio cause man they are crankin it out. As far as the lead, so very talented, but in the studio. LESS IS MORE. Guy's got major chops and played them all on this one song. Yous vocals are good, out front where they belong. Good job overall.

Its hard to get over 3 stars from me

The guitar work is good, a little busy...but good. Vocal quality is good, I like the tone of the singer's voice, maybe add some compression. Lyrically, the song needs work. I like the idea of the song, but the lyrics do not flow. You can't sing along with a song that doesn't flow. First offense, "Bedroom closet". also, "How will I ever get used to all this suffering" isn't melodious at all. Its like he forgot to sing it. I think maybe the singer was going for something there that isn't translating well. The Chorus needs harmonies and, well... Chorus. Even if you just double or triple the singers voice and drop the guitar volume a bit during the chorus, it would make a world of difference. Like the Title of the review says, its hard to get over 3 stars from me. you got 3.1. No one ever improved by being lied to.
