About Joe Martin

Joe Martin is an accomplished singer, songwriter and music producer. Born in The Bronx, New York, he grew up there during the 1970s and 1980s.

He started writing songs at the age of 16. At age 22, he decided it was time to put his music down on tape. By combing his savings with money he received from friends and family, he was able to put together a team of talented musicians, co-producers and engineers to start production on his compositions.

In December of 1986 he released his first single “The Calling Of Majesty” backed with “Sail Away On A Melody” which featured the late Dave Hubbard on saxophone. The single debuted on Majesty Records, a label founded by Joe Martin earlier that year.

With all the demands of being an artist, he decided to put his singing career on hold and instead concentrate his efforts on being a producer. He operated a successful music production company, Majesty Productions, Inc., out of an office in the renowned Ed Sullivan Theater Building located on Broadway in Manhattan, New York.

After a long absence from the recording industry, Joe decided it was time once again to share with the world his first true passion: his music. He has begun working on updated versions of “The Calling Of Majesty,” “Sail Away On A Melody” and on a selection of other new original material.
