About Therealmohagonyrose
Rose Ann Cox also known as Mohagony Rose, was born to Ms. Rose Marie Dejesus and Mr. Jerry Cox January 30th, 1986 at Nyack, NY, (expired link) Rose was raised by her grandmother, Annie Mae Marsland. Both her parents and grandmother have been an inspiration in her life and has made her into the person she is today. Rose took a likening to singing and dancing when she was nine years old. In her small world, she was already a Big Star. Her Iyrical inspiration at the time was lauryn hill. She loved to listen to the melodies of lauryn, while watching her put down her acting skills in "Sister Act". Rose started doing talent shows at Fleetwood Elementary and even sang at her family reunion to entertain the entire family. She's done auditions for different labels as well as auditioned for Xfactor and The Lucky Break.
At the age of 35 music is still her passion. She still loves to sing and touch people with her strong melodic tone. Her lyrical inspirations today consist of Keyshia Cole, Jamie Foxx and Beyonce. Due to her desire to sing, she writes her own life-lessons in song and records at the studio. Rose dreams of traveling the the world as a songwriter and vocalist making her dreams a reality.
