About Ripper

Ripper is a Death / Thrash Metal band formed in December 2007 by two young bangers from Peñaflor and two from Talagante. Patricio Spalinger (vocals, guitar) and Pablo Cortes (bass) who were from Talagante met in college, when Patricio took his guitar and started to playing. That led them to form a tribute Thrash Metal band called Deathmatch, but eventually the band broke up and then they create their own songs. Cristian Leon (guitar) and Miguel Sanchez (drums) were neighbours, thanks to a friend, the four got together and then form Ripper, the name was conceived because it sounded just heartbreaking. The first rehearsals were in the Cristian’s room and after several rehearsals they were invited to a gig called "The Kilombo" in Peñaflor, where the debut was getting much support from the audience. In 2008 recorded a rehearsal with the same name of the band, whether it's distributed at several gigs. Thanks to that, were invited to the Zenteno gym to play a debut in Santiago.
