Nice cut.Like the vibe of the early years, the message is incredible, nice lead vocalizing. Mr. Hoffman, you've done an outstanding job! The mix is awesome, the levels are satisfying to the ears and the lyrics are clear to hear and understand. This song kept my interest from beginning to end, the spoken words in conclusion is fitting and shows a patriot stance to unite as one. You've done a wonderful job on this Richie Hoffman, Keep on truckin' , in the spirit, bijan.

More Important message than ever, share with Hannity!

This song is fraught with meaning. Close to the heart. I appreciate the added ending, very poignant. I found it very intense. I think you could up it again with some more diversity, either add instruments or other almost ghostly voices behind it. Just an idea. Anyway, I really liked the personal touch, it should be sent to Hannity. It has even more meaning now on the verge of military issues.. it will make people think Music! Music 4 Life! Best Tivoli=I love it!

Great theme

Great theme! This track is very personal and that is refreshing to hear. The mix is good, the drums are present in the mix but they do not overpower anything, the piano and guitar have a nice mix so that both are easily distinguishable. The tone of the piano seems a little hollow however that may help the mix. The tone of the guitar is smooth and soothing. Vocals are clear, understandable with good pitch. I appreciate the recorded clips in the end, they give some additional context to the work.

September Morning Tuesday

Well.. I remember that day.. had to tell my kids they couldn't watch cartoons because all the tv channels were showing this..They later learned what a horrible thing that happened. But they were only 4 & 6 back then Great lyrics.. the music fits the lyrics well. Would love if the vocals were a bit more compressed and in the front.. Nice touch with the radio voice in the end.

September Morning Tuesday

Let me begin by letting you know how I will be addressing your song. I review from a commercial standpoint…..which is to say how would your composition fair if you were trying to place your song with a publishing firm? The other alternative would be from you as artist. If that were the case then one either likes or dislikes what you have produced. That is not my agenda as I stated earlier. Nice song. Good arrangement...nice production.....melody works. Production has everything needed and fits together well. If it were me I might take a look at the Title..."September Morning Tuesday" while being poetic I wonder if your song might benefit more with "Always Be Around Me"? It fits the overall vibe of the song better and seems more descriptive as a one shot informational tag. Also........The twist of Always Be Around Me (seems like another girl love / leaves boy sentiment on first glance) acts as a surprise...in the way you use it. You have a nice tune here that is close to being marketable with a little more tweaking.....Rewriting is a drag but worth the effort. Again Good work and Keep Writing! RW

Straight fire !!!

Papa’s mouth was open, but no words came out anymore. This, I reminded myself, is not a riddle—not a clever bit from one of his books. I traced the rope to his wild hair sheening in the sun, and followed along the lineaments to his bulging eyes. Then his nose, long and narrow (patrician, he called it once), forever leaning to the left. My gaze teetered from its tip and landed in a hollow that’s barely visible when he had his beard. He said an angel placed its finger there before he was born. There was darkness and dried blood at the cusp. Shapes moved just behind his tongue. Blowflies had made it a nest.

How do we Recover?

It goes without saying the September 11th attack on our neighbours to the south was a shocking, devastating, unwelcome event that we all likely remember where we were when the news hit. I was still working, and the internet was overwhelmed, some certain sites more so, and we had an employee with a background in French working with us, so he logged in to a site in his native language, so we could get faster updates more reliably. It is one of two events in my lifetime that dominated the news for over a year, from the moment they happened. The other is this pandemic we are currently battling. The song itself is well done from writing to performance. I do not want to speak of any political message referred to. I am more concerned with us getting thru & past the events and their results. All we can do is be peaceful in our daily lives, and be very careful and conscientious these days. I wish you all well.

God Bless Country Rock

I like the song. Sounds like country rock. Mixing and sound is good. Traditional songwriting with traditional sound. Job well done. Ready for airplay on the radio. God bless America and good songwriters.

Nice arrangement

I would have titled this "another solid performance", but that is what I said about an earlier song by Richie Hoffman. The intro pulls you in to a catchy rhythm that takes you to a solid lead solo. The last part of the song was really cool with the Ronald Reagan speaking parts tastefully added. Cool song about a tough time.

911

In these politically polarized times a heinous act is chronicled with a strong vamp and an interesting musical dirge. Repetitive motif is fitting in getting the point across along with lyrics that America will stand firm as a people united, if not necessarily in agreement. We all know that those who were lost are gone but not forgotten. The irony of the song is knowing the truth of the history of former President George W. Bush and the nationality of the perpetrators, we come away thinking about the root cause of the loss of so many precious lives. Truth is a bitch.

Touching Tribute

Thank you for sharing Richie. I too remember that very morning as if it were yesterday, even though I was nowhere as near as you. I hope this creation has brought you some healing. Your story was was well told, and personal aspect did show through. If I had one wish, (I do not) I might suggest some contrast within the melody. It feels somewhat "chipper" for the thematic elements you wrote. Nice touch with the voiceover though. Keep writing and sharing. All the best! Gina C. Simon, SSsongs

Good song

Hi. I like your song. The lyrics are good: It's honest and it comes from the heart. Good instrumentation. Adore the guitar. Love the drums, and I like the way the keyboards play the chord scheme in a higher key one time. I also like the voice of the president near the end. That's well done. The song is just a bit short to me though: The composition could have been just a little more elaborate. But otherwise, the song is full of truly heartfelt soul and I'm very curious to hear more of your songs, so... waiting for the next one. Thanx !

Only Make It Better

Great song! I love how it starts with organ and then comes in with a synthesizer, I believe. The subject matter probably will grab hold of anyone who listens. Also love the President voice over. The lyrics completely fit the song. The one weakness of the song is the singing. The singing seems droning and robotic. I'd love to hear this song sung by someone else, maybe I'll take a swing at it.

Fascinating mix of Genres and some classic rock references

Heartfelt lyrics with strong feelings of past experiences held in the present. The song is song with passion and skill. Production is sound with all the great elements of classic rock and some nice guitar patterns and backing. The drums provide some lively breaks and are as clean as a whistle. The outro with the George Bush speech provides a fitting ending to the song. Overall a song of quality and dedication.

Worth of any attention!

Great piano and engaging e-guitar sound brings the listner into the right mood. By the way, the drums and melodic bass lines convincing me too. Richie is performing with unique vocals and the intro sounds like a story. He has a great talent to give an account in words about the dramatical consequnces of the 9/11 events. Remarkable song and high class recording overall perfect mixed and mastered. The virtuos e-guitar solos making the song complete. Great mixture of soft-rock with pop elements. This song could be a radio hit and I´m sure you will also like to add it. Let others know your recommedation.

In MY Opinion

Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the message and great guitar work in this song. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

Interesting rock ballad

The begin remembers the acid rock, as the so quick pronunciation of the words. This song is a good mix between hard metal sounds and a blues ballad. The electric guitar is very well played.
