The picture in this email is from a scene in the movie, "Home Alone," and the Mother is desperately trying to get back home to her son because she accidentally left him there when her family went on vacation.
"If I have to sell my soul to the devil himself....(I will in order to get on an airplane that takes me home)."
But you can't sell what you don't own. Way back in Genesis, Adam & Eve gave up their souls and those of the entire human race through disobedience to God. They believed a lie - that God was trying to keep something good from them.
But Jesus came and died for all of our sins. The word "sin" is a term from Archery. It means missing the bull's - eye. "All we like sheep have gone astray, each one to his or her own way, and the Lord has laid the punishment on Him (His only Son Jesus)." (Isaiah 53:6)
Jesus answers the cry of every person who wants His gift of free eternal life and to be owned by the One who gave His life for us! When that happens, we are no longer owned by the devil, but we are owned by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus = the finder & the Rescuer; the devil = the loser because we have been taken away from him!
If you haven't done so, ask Jesus to rescue you today! He will transfer you from the kingdom of darkness to His wonderful kingdom! (Colossians 1:13)
