Greetings to all!
This is a long time overdue. I am humbled and thankful for everyone here and want to welcome our newer members. I have actually copied and pasted together all the wonderful comments you have sent. They really do bless and inspire me! Thank you all for those!
I am staying very busy with teaching piano. I currently have about 30 students. Since we moved to the country about a year ago, I commute about 25 miles to do so. (We love it out here! So quiet!)
As far as any further recording, I do have many gospel choruses yet unrecorded. (Probably about 50 of them.) I need to solidify a roster of them into a theme for another album. Off the top of my head, "Holy Spirit, Rise Within Us" would be a prime candidate for recording. Would make a great title track, as well. I know I would need to find a new studio to record in, as the one I used to record both CDs is no longer operational. (My thanks to that studio owner, who recorded and edited all the songs, made wonderful suggestions along the way and became a good friend also.)
Anyway, I hope everyone continues to enjoy my songs. I hope they bring a smile to each face and feeling connection in spirit. God bless one and all and thanks again for the wonderful support!!!

I want to thank everyone for their support and kind words! You encourage me more than you know! I am navigating my way through this site and just now upgraded and can upload more songs.....YAY! I will be doing so in the next few days. We are in the process of moving to another city, but I will do my best to keep things moving.

About Phil Parmelee
I really should have filled this in years ago! Anyway, my mom and dad played the piano and organ at a church for over 20 years together and while I never took lessons as a child, music was a big part of our lives. I learned to play the organ first, but when I turned 13, our youth group needed a piano player, so my mother showed me the difference and I began to play for the youth group shortly thereafter. After high school graduation and marriage in 1972, we moved to Springfield, Mo. to attend Baptist Bible College. I received my BA in Music Composition in 1978. We moved back to Michigan soon after that and I began teaching piano in 1979 and continued to this day. I have played either piano or organ for churches for a continuous 50 years. Almost of my songs have sprung from either private worship or public worship. I never set out to write songs. They seem to find me instead, often words and music coming simultaneously. My first CD, "I Am Fully Persuaded" (praise and worship) was recorded in 2010 and my second CD, "The Father Knows Best" (contemporary gospel) circa 2016. I haven't recorded since then, but still have many praise and worship songs not yet recorded. And nearing 70 years old and still working, it will take some prayers to get me back into the studio, much as I love recording. (This being written in December 2023.) Anyway, keep me in your prayers.
