Great News! ~ Finally got "These Colors Won't Run" uploaded for streaming 'only'. Well...I hope this News Letter post this time cause the last 2 this month did not. I've been trying to get N1M support to help me figure it out but never got them too. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed when I hit the 'send' button that it will 'post' so you all can read it after 2/15 day waiting periods. I have to wait 15 days in between to post. A little story behind the song "These Colors Won't Run". It started when I'd take a couple weeks off from my road 'tour' with the Funk Family in the early mid '70's. My oldest sister had three boys that I thought needed a mentor, so I'd drop by for visits and sit with each one of them and show/teach them some stuff on the instrument they liked at the time. One took to the trumpet, the oldest took to the drums and the youngest 'really' took to the guitar. I'd sit with each of them for an hour or so and we'd jam on stuff. The one that liked the trumpet wasn't that into music so he drop'd out after a while. The drummer liked it and later on in life took up the guitar...'but' the little guy that you hear on this song...well you can see how he's doing. I created a little monster, by showing him some Joe Walsh moves and other players like Jimmie Page along with power chords the A/C D/C band was doing and he just took off like a 'rocket' and is still going. Only problem was that he did not ever join a band and go on the road cause he got married and had to settle down and raise a family. Now that the kids are all grown, he's got the bug again and I've been working with him on some things on the side and this song is one of them I'd like to share with you and the World.
