About Mthiya
Iyah Ka Om ???? Born Mthiya Lunga.
Grew up in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni in Azania South Africa ???????? during the last decade of apartheid. Aspired to be many things but music took a central place in my life.
Since early years in primary school I took part in artistic works. Music , Drama & Writing .Drawing inspiration from the music and the musicians who dominated our environment in those years.
In high school I engaged in theater production. I wrote and directed plays ,composed and arranged music for most productions and also had the privilege to oversee and direct the whole casting production.
Did my first recording in 2004 as a rapper and have been recording music since then. I indulged in different genres under different names till I eventually carved Iyah Ka Om.
Combining different styles and creativity I manage to cross over different platforms through experience and am a natural speaker which facilitates my poetry very (expired link) do Rap , Poetry , Singing and song writing including reggae music in which I'm deeply rooted.
I'm currently working on promoting my project " The Joint Sitting : A Reasoning With The Gods " Produced by myself and Stok Swit under D Vibez Music which is my brain (expired link) the same time I'm working on a follow up 10 track project for Iyah Ka Om called " Throat Chakra : My Voice "
Which is on its way later in the year of 2023.
