About Lawrence Hill

A recording vocalist with a track record spanning nearly 30 years. Lawrence has served as a staff writer for several record publishing companies including Sky Hill Publishing and Shelter Records/Capital Records. He also has been the featured vocalist, soloist, background singer, arranger and writer on recordings with many popular Gospel, Rock and R&B greats including, The Edwin Hawkins Singers, New Generation Singers, Leon and Mary (McCreary) Russell, Charles May Ensemble, Fame Gospel Choir, James Cleveland, Ricky Grundy Choral, Patti Labelle, Della Reese, and the Up Choir.

Lawrence also has attained commercial success as a writer, vocalist and actor for the acclaimed television show “ Touched By an Angel, choir master” Where he served as Choir master for several episodes. “Sister/Sister”, movies, Eve’s Bayou”, “Caveman Valentine” and The Doors movie. Lawrence also co-starred with Gospel Great Daryl Coley in the Gospel Opera “Job” and a co-starring role as Louis Jordan in the Murder mystery “Dark Legends in Blood”.

A Masterful musician, Lawrence continues to serve at several area churches as Minister of Music.
