(expired link). River is an originals and covers rock band in Los Angeles. A 5-piece combo with a dozen originals and 24+ hours of hit-covers, they range from Santana to the Doors, Dire Straits to Little Feat, Doobies, Eagles, Badfinger. Chicago, and Pink Floyd.
They roll through great mashups like Blue On Black(Kenny Wayne Shepherd) into Country Road (James Taylor), Crimson & Clover(Tommy James) into Hold Your Head Up (Argent), and the "F'd-up party medley": Stuck in the Middle With You(Steelers Wheel) into Lime and de Coconut into Mama Told Me Not To Come(# Dog Night).
Everyone sings and the age-range of the players is 17-63.
The peerless leader, Nick Krall, joined the group in 2008 and took over after the original founders moved and/or moved on to other projects.
