June brought about more work on the album, it’s a long haul that’s for sure and seems like a lifetime ago from conception in January, I can tell ya! We both got ill for a week after the Jubilee weekend so that set us back a tad and I’ve been gallivanting in Glasgow watching Green Day and we just did a stint at Hyde Park watching the amazing Pearl Jam and Pixies. My throat doesn’t always agree with me on having fun at such events, so the pressure is on to get the vocals down on the remaining tracks this week. No pressure whatsoever!!
I’ve been designing the artwork for the inside sleeves for the CD/digital release of the album. The 4 main tracks will be free to stream across all social media sites but 2 additional tracks will be exclusively available if a copy of the EP is purchased. It is definitely all systems go. We may have to push the release date of the EP back to August but we shall see how the next couple of weeks pan out and also, the availability of our engineer for mastering the tracks!
That’s all the news so far, just heads down and focusing on the end product!
A preview of my next track, Meta For The Masses will be coming this weekend, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

About Hannah Eve
Hannah Eve is a singer-songwriter based in Wigan, Greater Manchester. Her honest, emotive lyrics and catchy melodies are blended with her diverse vocals. Her songs are sometimes stripped back and other times, heavier, grittier and played with a full band. Hannah Eve is influenced by many artists and her tastes are eclectic, which comes across in her song writing.
In 2007, she formed the folk-acoustic-rock band The Camarillas with Keith Lythgoe. The Camarillas recorded their first EP ‘Unearthed’ in 2008, the acoustic EP ‘Stripped’ in 2009, the live recorded EP ‘Of Devotion…’ in 2010, and their final EP, ‘Overload’ was released in 2011. An album of unreleased tracks which were gigged, yet never recorded, are in the pipeline for 2024. Stay tuned for more updates on the release of ‘In The Embers (2007-2011)’.
During 2011, Hannah and Keith became restless and wanted to create a heavier project with a larger sound. Keith began writing demos for Hannah to arrange the parts, create the melodies and write the lyrics. She found her voice and had the opportunity to express it fully. The band Somnium was formed in 2011. Somnium released their self-titled EP in 2012 and gigged all over the North-West. Their final EP, ‘The Waiting’, was due to come out in 2015 but sadly wasn't finished before the band split, however, they plan to release it in 2023. Hannah’s time in Somnium allowed her to start to hear instruments in her head without being able to play them, which opened up her song writing abilities.
From 2016, Hannah started recording joke tracks for her family based around childhood memories which were given as Christmas gifts, a trend which continued in 2018, 2019 and 2020. The first year of songs entitled, ‘Family Favourites Vol.1‘, are available currently on Reverbnation, Soundcloud and BandCamp.
2022 saw the release of Hannah Eve’s first EP, Time, out now. Plans for Hannah Eve’s first full album, In The Dark, are underway, which is set for release in 2024.
