Fowney (Paul Fownes)

Quite a personal one this. I wrote it when my 11 year old daughter was self-harming, and she wouldn't talk about it. Should I record it properly? I did a quick version years ago - but I'm wiser now (know a bit more about mixing etc)

My music taste are wide and varied, and you may have spotted that I'm an indie-rocker at heart, but can write punk and ballads. But which one song of mine is your personal favourite. Please message back to let me know. I'd also be tempted to ask, if you wanted me to have a go at recording your favourite track of someone else's, what would it be? I'm really getting into the home recording thing and have almost run out of my own songs (for now), although I have written about 150 over the years.

Re-recording last year's favourite tune, "Forever and Day"

Seems weird remembering pre-covid times (2019). A musician friend of mine had asked me to write a song with him, and I put this together over two evenings then sent it to him. He never replied to me - so I recorded the vocals myself. It's maybe a half or full step too deep, but it wasn't meant for me. Perhaps I should re-record the WHOLE thing! Let's see if it gets the thumbs-up first eh?
