The one thing that Mike can remember for the longest time was his love for music. He bought his first guitar when he was seventeen years old and started teaching himself how to play. He eventually took some lessons from a small guitar shop in his home town of Milford New Hampshire and discovered that playing guitar was the one puzzle that would take him a lifetime to figure out. He was hooked! It was the year 1989, when Mike knew that his friend was planning on moving to Hollywood, California and Mike made up his mind on the spot and decided to go with him. He felt that New Hampshire was boring and that all the best guitar players and bands were coming out of Southern California. Exactly two weeks later, after leaving a job, a girlfriend, and a family behind, Mike was in Hollywood. At first, things did not work out so well in Hollywood so he returned home for a year and then came back to California, but this time ended up in Orange County. It took him a couple of years to finally settle in and began working in construction to pay the bills, while still playing the guitar in his free time.
