Recently I had the privilege to be asked to play at a charity concert in Roxby Downs. This is a mining town a leasurely 3 hour drive from Quorn , my home town. I was also supplying half the PA and lighting and setting that up too. I had a few practices with some friends in a band and the plan was that I was to play solo on 4or 5 songs and then the band was coming up to support me. So after travelling for 3 hours and then setting up PA and lighting for 5 hours I played some covers and a couple of originals with my Taylor T5 and it was all recorded which is cool. Then asked for the band to come up and find that they had all gone off for a shower and change of clothing except the drummer. So I had to continue on acoustic and harp with just a drummer. Oh well that's showbiz I guess, a very tiring weekend now just waiting to get a copy of the sound files so I can check them out and maybe up load some......;-)
