This is the updated version of the song that was released on the album Oshun Gaia by Amikaeyla Gaston and Ariana Lightningstorm ©2006. The story behind this poem/song is that Tom Wolfe went to an herbology conference in NM and had a wonderful spiritual experience there. The poem came out of his experience and when Tom shared his poem and experience with Ariana, she heard the melody in her head and asked if she could put it to music. She went straight home and recorded in "one take" all of the parts and brought the music back to Tom. Tom told her later that he was worried that he wouldn't like what she did with the poetry but was delighted that he had nothing to worry about. This was the chant that made it clear to Ariana that she was putting 2 albums out that year. One would be a chant album called Mother Wisdom and the other was called Finding The Balance Within. These were both released in 1994 by her band, KIVA.
