You can subscribe this sheet book soon. It contains six new waltz compositions by me: Waltz in D Major can be described as vigorous. The musical mood in Waltz in D Minor is slightly melancholic at the beginning, but after the short following passage in a major key, it breaks into a run, then returns to a calm waltz progression. Waltz in F Major’s style and form are simple and solemn. After an introduction in simple metre, Waltz in G Major progresses into a gentle, fluttering waltz melody. After the swaying, rhythm-changing section, it returns to the opening theme. Waltz in C Minor is wistful, but it also contains the bubbling vivacity and light of spring. The sheet book ends with Waltz in D Major, a piano arrangement of the song I composed for the poem Ruavelelle by Yrjö Vasama. The composition is sung in simple metre, but when I was working on it on the piano, it gradually became a waltz. Six Waltzes for Piano is the first sheet music compilation of my compositions. I published them earlier as recordings on two CDs: Compositions 1 and Bridge/Silta (Compositions 3, MSR Classics). The latter includes my piano performances of three pieces in this book: Waltz in G Major, Waltz in C Minor, and Waltz in D Major (Ruavelelle).
