There are songs out there that seem to take you to another place, letting your cares and worries wash away. When you listen to Ophelia Brown’s music, you are transported to the center of the colorful and beautiful story she is telling through song.

Ophelia’s dynamic range in songwriting is notable from the start, ranging from smooth fusions of hiphop and rnb with jazz qualities all the way to experimental acapella arrangement. To her, there is no limit except for what the song itself is asking for. It’s clear though that no matter where the song lands, it has a finger on the pulse of both the modern production elements to the unique elements that make these songs her own.

Ophelia’s vocals are the most crucial part of her project, taking on a life of their own as she pushes the boundaries of creativity and expression. In one song, they are soaring and gliding above the music; in the other, she allows them to take on different qualities from rhythmics to string like, turning them into an orchestra of instruments.

She has been writing diligently preparing for the release of her upcoming singles, including “Beautiful Pawn”. Her message comes in all styles and colors but there is no doubt that it’s always laced with that honesty that is unmistakable and unforgettable.

My latest single is out for streaming, now! I am excited about the sound, because it's a lot different from my usual, yet still me! If you have recently joined the mailing list or the network, I want to personally thank you.

When I get some quiet time, I will be creating more tunes. I appreciate you bearing with me as I have had a hard time getting newsletters out to you. Not because I don't desire to do so, but because of technology issues.
