Nice song

I love the intro vocals. I enjoy the background vocals as well. I think this is an interesting sound and has an uplifting melody. The production is pretty good and flows nicely. This is a timeless song that could fit many time periods. I definitely feel the vibe of this jam. I enjoyed the whole thing and appreciate the lyrics and the instruments and the arrangements of the position of them throughout the tune. Nice song!

Hard to pigeonhole this little gem

What we have here is Jim Steinman styled epic power ballad for a new generation with both male and female vocals. And what vocals! Adam Little’s voice is an amazing powerhouse, and is assisted delicately with the backing vocal prowess of Tabby Johnson who never overpowers him. I like the way the song develops with just Adam, and then begins to fill out, with the beautiful sounding 80’s synthesizer initially being the main instrument, and then the band gradually joins in, percussion, guitars and horns. Like fellow Canadian Gordon Lightfoot’s wonderful ‘The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,’ wunderkid Antonio Mendez and his World Studios have come up with a tuneful and playful song that has no obvious chorus, which is both refreshing and risky in this world of instant ‘Moon in June’ cute little one hit wonders. There is so much going on in this song that the listener doesn't even notice as they try to discern between the multitude of instruments coming in and going back out, intertwined with the amazing vocals and playful lyrics. Like the song title, this very cool slice of vibe does feel very jazzy, without being too jazzy. Antonio, you’ve done it again! Highly recommended.

A fine groove

Good things first. A fine groove and rhythm track although snare sounds a little prominent to my ears with kick drum a little slappy. Good instrumentation with keys playing various, well-chosen patches. I think various brass interjections could have been a little more forward in the mix to give some percussive counterpoint. The singer, to my mind, is a little sloppy. I like his phrasing and voice timbre but it is a little too prominent in the mix to sit comfortably. The song itself reminds me of something I heard once from Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band. I don't know if that would be seen as a compliment by these guys but I always had a soft spot for Don and the band.

musica difficile

Mastering Jazz

They show their class. I do not like Jazz, but if musicians play their instrument - including vocals - in a extraordinary way I have to appreciate it. Here we have a living, breathing play space which, for the time, offered an epic sense of scale, complexity and freedom that my pop and rock mind had seldom heard before. About mixing and overall production I can only say good job done.

More pop than Jazz

Wow, I wasn't expecting this. This song was more pop than Jazz in my opinion. The intro with the sax was really cool and when the music kicked in, the song became a pop rock song with a cool beat and great vocals. There is a lot going on in the song and everything fits perfectly from the beginning, all the way to the end. This is a really cool "Jazz/Pop-Rock song.

SINGIN’ JAZZ

SINGIN’ JAZZ sounds like a throw back to the 70’s/80’s psychedelic era with a smooth melody and some bass beats. The mix sounds well balanced and the horns and lead guitars keep the listener engaged. Overall, it seems a little long for today’s era of 3 minute songs, but it’s a nostalgic listen to a once vibrant scene that seems to now be long forgotten. Keep up the inspiring work guys!

All I Hear is Jell!

This song starts of with an acapella vocal that is augmented by loops. Excellent vocals then lead to the percussion elements that propel the track forward. Additional musical elements are added throughout the song. The composition has some of the feel of DJ Shadow but is more rock oriented as it progresses. The reverb on the lead vocal is a little over done in the midsection and muddies the lead vocal. I would suggest doubling the lead vocal instead and also having an addition instrument that fills in the sonic void that produced by the loop based instrumentation.
