As long as I have friends like all of you, I’ll keep playing I started playing music when i was ten years old my first professional job was playing tenor banjo in the Steve James jazz band Manchester.Then In the mid sixths I started a banjo trio THE BANJO ACES working clubs and tv and radio shows for the BBC. the 70s formed the Dixieland show band the played and stayed together for more than thirty years with four of the members also playing bluegrass (Rainy city Bluegrass Band ) The Bluegrass band was the first UK band invited to to play festivals in the USA (The (Rainy city Bluegrass Band ) Tom Degney
