Hey, all! Thought I'd switch things up a bit. Added two new songs from the record this morning: "Sycophant" and "bounty," which, as it turns out, are tracks 3 and 4 respectively. Sycophant speaks to that "holier than thou art" ideal; it highlights Matthew 15:18 from the bible in which Jesus says, "They honour me with their lips but their heart is far from me." In the writing of this song, I wanted to highlight the difference between a Christian and a Christ Follower. Sadly, they are not the same thing. bounty is a song about a state of mind where you have a secret that you are sure everyone knows already but you are desperate to keep; its as though you wear it on your skin for everyone to see but try to go on as if it is not obvious. The irony is that no one actually notices because, guess what, not everything is about you. :) I hope you enjoy and would love to hear your thoughts.
