The Straw Horses
Hi! A warm welcome to all listeners who love folk songs. The Straw Horses are a folk singing Duo based in the Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire counties in the UK. All the lyrics for the songs uploaded have been written by MavisEllen Jackson and Rob Bray. The music has been arranged and is played by Rob and he is one half of the Straw Horses. The female vocal is beautifully supplied by Corinne Stratton who is the other half of the Straw Horses. I will leave them to decide which one is the front and which is the back half! There are 9 songs on the Dorset Tales CD which funnily enough are about places and characters who lived in Dorset, which is also where I now live. The 12 songs on the Calendar CD are about a specific event, tradition or custom, one chosen for every month of the year.
