Beautiful Song, Work on Vocals

I feel like you guys could use another mixing engineer just to add greater clarity and definition between instrument. Especially to work with vocals and tuning. Each instrument could also use more character and punch out of the mix distinct from other instruments, both low low end and upper high end could be expanded in the overall master (high end to pick up all the acoustic harmonics, low end because mix feels like not enough bass, doesn't hit in gut, and not enough kick, doesn't hit in the chest). But incredible song. The suggestions are made because the song has such potential otherwise I wouldn't waste the time writing the review. Reminds me of many of the bands I used to listen to in university. Some electronic adds could make it a little more like Cut Copy, as is reminds me of bands like The Thrills or L83.

Californian Retro Sound

In the realm of classic pop-rock, "Edge of the World" emerges as a captivating melody that transports listeners back to the golden era of the 1970s. With its infectious Californian sound, the song exudes a timeless charm that resonates with music enthusiasts of all generations. The songwriting in "Edge of the World" is truly commendable. The lyrics are crafted with poetic flair, painting vivid pictures and evoking a sense of nostalgia. While the mixing of the track may not be up-to-date by contemporary standards, it arguably adds to its retro charm. The raw, unpolished sound gives the song an authentic, vintage feel, reminiscent of classic rock recordings from the 70s. Overall, "Edge of the World" is a well-crafted pop-rock song that successfully captures the spirit of the 1970s. Its good songwriting, infectious melody, and nostalgic Californian sound make it a delightful listen for fans of classic rock and pop music alike. The mixing, while not entirely modern, contributes to the song's vintage charm and authenticity.

The silvers Edge of the world

The silvers "Edge of the world" If only it was the 1960s I could move to San Franciso and play and hear other musicians play that California 60s sound. If you were just thinking you would also like to do that The Silvers offers part of the ticket while not being able to go back in time one can still enjoy the 60s sound from this young boy band. Yes the Silvers are here to offer you the edge of the world just in case you were not getting offered by anyone else. Check it out! Let's go!

Nice!!

See you doing your native Beachboys well. Like the sound. Like the guitar textures. Perhaps a little more refinement in the production would help. Guitar solos lost in some places, a little compression would take care of that. A little boomy in the bottom end messing with the clarity, some eq filtering in the bottom end should take care of that. All and all, nice track, all the best with it.

pleasing

A very nice upbeat tempo of a song that has some really nice harmonies in the hook.....really enjoyed this offering as it seems very well done and well prodeuced...the song has a old time 60's vibe but modernised with some guitar snarl to give it a little edge to it.The vocals are very easy to digest and carry the song along at a nice robust pace...a very nice listen and a solid effort.

Fine musicians make me think of America (the band)

Your song and the style make me think of America, one of my favorite bands. Sometimes the vocal needs a little tuning with variaudio manual adjustment or a little bit of autotune. The recording sounds a little distorted, might be too much analogue or digital distortion. The song itself is fine, but the lead vocal (just like mine) is the weaker part of the song. A reference track of America alongside your own recording could be helpful to get those little details right or better for reaching the highest level of recording...(just an amateurs opinion...don't think too much of it...Enjoy your music !)

A Review of the song Edge of the world

Compositionally, the song reminds me a lot of the Beatles or, probably the vocals, the Beach boys. It is a relaxing song for me, it has an optimistic effect on me, it spreads a good and cheerful mood. With the background acoustic guitar, I would sometimes break the rhythm, after all, it keeps playing the same rhythm throughout the whole song. For example, after the end of the chorus or stanza, I would insert one empty measure (4 beats). With this band, I feel that not many tracks are artificially added in the studio, so the live recording and playing will probably sound the same as it did in the studio.

Groovy song

The lead part of the guitar I loved very much as well as the rhythm guitar. Seems to me that the drums part beat must be stronger. Seems to me that I am listening to the Beatles inspired song. Best of luck!! Cheers!!

Edge Of The World review

Helpful

This is an interesting song you have submitted here. I really enjoyed the vocals and harmonies that fill out the chorus and various other areas throughout the song. My only real suggestion would be to either remix the track or completely redo it. There is a raw, garage sound to it that I personally feel would benefit more with a cleaner, polished mix geared more to the Pop & Rock title you list it under. Keep them coming though. Hope to hear more from you. Good luck!

Hi Silvers! Thank you so much for asking me to review your music! Firstly, you come in nice and strong. The vocals are a great blend and at a great level. I can hear your lyrics really well and the guitars are nice and tight. You have a pleasant sound, it kind of sounds like the sixties and seventies music. Your lyrics are also interesting and in their own way positive! This song is easy to listen too, and I could see it in a movie or a radio set! Way to go guys!! Great job! Rachel

Nice and retro, but yet some steps to go

Basically a nice and retro style piece of music, well produced and mastered and with a hookline that stays in the listeners' ear. Nevertheless I had three different thoughts. First of all, the song stays on the basic chord for roughly 90% of the time. Hardly any variation besides the two other chords building the chorus. Secondly, the lead guitar is not really interesting. I'm not saying that every guitar solo must sound like Satriani of Sambora, but this is a bit poor. And the third thing is that the lead voice is not absolutely convinced. It sounds a bit unsure, hesitant, undetermined. The harmony vocals are stronger and are pushing the lead voice a bit aside. This is not a mixing issue, it is rather the weakness of the lead voice as such. Anyway and besides all criticism, I like the overall atmosphere of the song and the arrangement of the instruments.
