John Sullivan
John is the main vocalist for SDH as well as the main songwriter. He has hundred's of tunes and is still writing and always trying to perfect his craft. Heavily influenced by the Beatles, Cream, Hendrix etc. He has shared the stage with Steve Tyler, Joey Molland, Jon Butcher, James Montgomery, Charlie Farren, Danny Klein, Charlie Hughn, Joe Cocker to name a few. Hello, just wanted to keep everyone updated on our new CD "Songs from Summer Street". We are about half way done with the mixing. Then comes the mastering, then the artwork, manufacturing etc. Listening to the tracks come to life through the mixing and mastering phase is my favorite part of the process. Read moreWe have finally decided on the title of our next CD. (Songs from Summer Street). Summer St is where I live and where all the songs were written and created in my studio. I like the way it rolls off the tongue! 11 songs with a nice variety of feels, some rock, some acoustic based, some I wrote on piano, others on guitar. We are in the mixing and mastering stage at the present time and also looking at getting a video done for a couple of them. Jeff Davis (bass player) is recovering from knee surgery and eager to get back to playing out live again. Andy Hanscom (drummer) is busy teaching drums and fixing his vehicle. I keep busy at my day gig and teaching Martial Arts when I'm not on stage or in the studio. Life is good and the key is to stay healthy and listen to that voice inside of you each day and choose the positive! We had a challenging year in 2015 with all three of us experiencing some health issues which got in the way of gigging and recording but we've made it through.
