After the dust settles, after the sun sets, after the battles of life are over, we stand with honor. surviving defeat against all the odds and obstacles of life. This feeling of success is truly a reward. It's the stars, the stripes the reward of effort and hard work. The realization of accomplishment that shines through the difficulties like the sun through the forest trees, breaking through with rays of hope and determination. It is the smile that comes after the tears. It's the healing of the mind, body and spirit after being nearly broken. It is what we have earned, not something merely given. It is what we receive when we prove others wrong about our integrity. It is the very core of who you are. The person that you have become after being refined by fire. It is your heritage, your own personal kingdom of abilities that have been honed for years. It is not bragging or boasting. It is appreciatively stating the facts of your struggles and accepting and voicing the positive outcome. It is the answer to your prayers, the proof that is in the pudding. It is your humility that outshines your ability. It is the recognition by all observing that you deserve what is yours. It is your destiny. The result of years of trying even though you have been pushed, pulled or even knocked down.
