Good but something missing

Good reminds me a bit of 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' in style .... just felt that something was missing. Perhaps more phasing on the vocals and needs a bit more background filler. Just my thoughts !

Many thanks from Mr. George

Ottimo lavoro. The style of this song is clearly ispired to the compositive style of George Harrison: you can tell immediately. The instrumental melodic line recalls the sitar melodies and the vocal line seems to repeat like a mantra. The use of Tabla complete the work. A hymn to meditation and the search for inner peace. Pleasant also the final with the use of the cello. The song i's nice. Played with precision the final mix is excellent  All instruments and voices are well mixed. Great job.

Nice song!

Good song, mate! The drums sound is kickin! Are they real drums? I like the lyrics they all flowed together well and they made sense with the theme of the song. The sitar sound was great as well. A few points of criticism...the backwards part makes sense to me as a Beatles fan, but it might be weird for those who aren't familiar with at style. I'd suggest a bridge of some sort where you bring the chords up a step and add another set of lyrics, or even an instrumental bit. One more point was the pauses were a bit long. I'd shorten them up a bar or two to keep the momentum going from the bass and the drums.

Cool Catchy Tune and Beat

This is nicely done. I am impressed with the intergration of some very ccom instruments and Rythems. Not quite sure what the song is truly about, but that does not seem to mattter. Like start your day. Simple and sweet. All put into a very nice package. Great job. very much fun and entertaining!

A little bit of George Harrison from Arizona

Scott Harvey brings us his tune, The Answer Lies Within, infused from start to finish with the spirit of George Harrison. As he describes the song himself, For George, it is evident from the top to the end of the song that Harrison's quirkiness and lust for eastern rhythms is totally infused in this tribute to the late great Beatle. I enjoyed the track for what it is, a tribute to a master by a loyal fan giving thanks and testimony. Is this song radio ready or even marketable? I don't think so but I also don't think that it was Harvey's intention to make it so. I think he was just paying homage and that makes the track all the more enjoyable. Thank you Scott! Good work!

Homage to the Beatles?

Okay, I hope this is an homage or maybe just an unintentional copying. So many elements of "Tomorrow Never Knows" are present in this tune beginning right from the start with the drum beat, which sounds a lot like Ringo's intro. Add the middle Eastern like instrumentation and the heavily processed vocals (I almost expected to hear "turn off your mind, relax and float downstream"), and how can one not think of "Tomorrow Never Knows?" Having said all that, I actually did like the production. Being the huge Beatles fan I am, how could I not?

Retro Folk-Pop-Rock Fun

Scott Harvey sings a folk song with a mixture of sitar, hand percussion and voices and drums, synths and vocals. The story is uplifting and interesting. Reminiscent of 1960s Beatles influences pop rock, this eclectic production is fun and compelling. I enjoyed the creativity. The vocals could be better produced and treated with better effects in the mix but it was still a fun listen for me. I hope to hear more from this creative artist.
