A very sweet song!

I really love the story this song tells. Everyone that has kids can identify with this song. This song reminds us of Tim McGraw, you should pitch it to him. Send it to his record label. First few lines of lyrics were a little difficult to understand, watch your articulation.

I Love It

With a nice flow and lyrics that are so true, this is easily one of my favorite songs. Although I'm not a man and I don't have a son, this is the kind of relationship I have with my daughters...This song is one that's genuine in nature. Thanks, Ronnie for sharing your passion for music with us!

First of all I like the song. It has an interest for a wide audience and it's written well. Good lyrics and a unique enough melody to be identifible. The vocal is right for the song and the delivery fits the mood of the song. As to the music track, production and arrangement, there are some things for me that detracts from the vocal presentation. The guitar is used way too much in the foreground and at times overwhelming. This song seems to call for a piano and accoustical guitar to help deliver the topic and enhance the mood of the song. The arrangement needs some softening but allowing the electric guitar to do riffs to accentuiate some of the lines but not be the lead sound of the music. I honestly think some electronic keyboard flavoring in the mix would be really good as well and make a nice change up in the arrangement. Good song, good vocal but the production of the music track could use some esthetics more befitting the storyline of the song. That's just one persons thoughts. I think the project has potential overall. good job.

The story is really good and it makes you want to keep listening to find out the outcome. I really like how it goes from being his little daughter to his little granddaughter. Its speaks to a parents heart but also to the daughters heart. Really great title because many girls grow up with daddy as her best friend. The content is really good and the music has a good beat. I would listen to it again.

My rating will be based on the underlying work and not so much on production because I know you are a songwriter. This is a good one for this genre. Tasty guitar riffs in just the right places. And I love the sound of the electrics. Good underlying song and lyric! Nothing lacking instrumentally composition wise. The bridge was a nice break and helped the song. Anyone should get the idea here if you are trying to submit it for another artist to record. As a demo it's ok. But if you REALLY want to grab their attention here's my production notes: The vocals are a bit dry and need to blend into the song a little better. Slightly out in some spots. If your self-releasing, take a little more time and nail those notes more carefully. On the pre-chorus "Oh the strength it took to watch you drive away, time goes by so fast", that portion would be helped by background vocals lifting that portion up and lead into the chorus. Then on the chorus it would be helped by some harmony vocals to help lift IT out of the song and knock someone over the head (so to speak). So there you are. I think that's what it needs. Hope that helps. Great job in the songwriting department! Best, RWB

Wow! What can I say? I love songs that really come from the heart, and this one is beautifully "over the top" and full of heart! So very well-crafted, with delightfully heartfelt lyrics that are "tight" and fit perfectly with the upbeat melody that carries the message so well! And you can feel the heartbeat of this heart-warming message in Ronnie's uplifting delivery of it! For me, it's hit! As in...a home run for the heart!

I absolutely love this. Band is very good......great vocals and the words to this song are just beautiful. Being a Dad of little kids myself, this song has extra meaning to me. Only thing I would've liked to hear to add to it is a harmony in parts of the song. This is by no means a criticism, but just a thought. All the best with your music Ronnie.
