Paul Springfield Bio.

Paul Springfield was born in the state of Oklahoma near the town of Warner. His early childhood was experienced in and around the Muskogee and Warner communities.
In the early 1950's his parents moved to the town of Yuba City in Northern California. He spent his teen years and graduated high school There. He also met Alietta Ellis in Yuba City who would later become his wife for more than 53 years as of their anniversary on May 14 2013.
Paul moved with his parents back to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1957 when he was 19 and a few month later Joined the United States Air Force. During his military tenure he began to write songs and perform with his military buddies. This music endeavor proved to be something that would be with him for many years to come.
During the end of his 4 year military career he and Alietta were married. They finished his tour in Lubbock Texas in 1961. During his time in Lubbock he continued to tinker with music and accompanied two young brothers with their singing competition on the guitar.
After the military Paul and Alietta moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he began a career in consumer finance. This job would eventually take them to Oklahoma City where he attained his formal education with degrees in Banking and Pre Law. He also began his banking career in the Oklahoma City area where the spent almost 25 years. It was during this time Paul resumed his passion for music by writing country western songs. He built a recording studio in his home and composed dozens of songs some of which were recorded and published. One accomplishment of note was a collaboration with a group from Seattle, Washington which would become a Billboard Pick Hit of the Week. It was called "Saturday Night Revival". The groups name was Bitter Creek. Jeremiah Thompson of Chariot Records also recorded some of Paul’s songs in Nashville–and Jeremiah and his wife Sharon named a TV show they hosted on KSBI-TV after one of his songs, “From the First Hallelujah to the Last Amen.”
During the 25 or so years of writing he collaborated with several others. Some of these efforts were gospel and philosophical numbers but the mainstream was of the country western genre.
Paul was a member of the Country Music Association (CMA) for many years.
Also during this time Paul has changed his career from banking to becoming a Federal Investigator of failed Banks and Savings and Loan institutions with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. This job took him to the Dallas, Texas area where he eventually retired in 2000 and resides currently.

I guess it’s time I told everyone that I have been suffering some bad health issues for the past 2 and 1/2 years. I probably should have disclosed this before now but I kept thinking things would turn around.

I am not doing anything on the performance or creative side now and I can’t say when this status will change. If you wish to continue to listen to my submissions please feel free to do so.

Thank you for your past support I appreciate all you have submitted to me in the past.

Best Regards

Well another month has rolled around and after three consecutive campaigns of the song "The Last One To Know" it only moved up 3 spots in the charts. That's disappointing but maybe tells me that I should pull the plug on it. It's finally summertime in Texas and time to get after all those outside interests. I hope you have some you enjoy doing. I dug up an old song I wrote and demoed a few years back. It's called "Love Has Done Alright By Me" . I had all but forgotten it so I whipped up a video clip for it and now I am happy to share it with you. It's different but I hope you will give it a listen and let me know what you think. Take care and have a great Summer wherever you happen to be.
Best Regards;

Hello Everyone.
I just finished the second campaign on the song "The Last One To Know" and the response was really good. Thank you to all that were part of the effort. I had hoped it would move the song up in the charts but the first week it only moved up one place. That was disappointing but hopefully it will get better. On another front, I dug up an old song I wrote a few years ago that I experimented with the vocals by effecting them like some of the songs were doing at the time. It actually came out sounding like a cheap radio but I hope you will give it a listen on the video I made of it. The song is called "Dan". Thanks to all of you again for the support from the last song campaign.
Best Regards; Paul Springfield

Hello Everyone;

As promised I have added a new song selection to this sight. It is called "Let's Make Another Dream". It is about an age old love conundrum. Two lovers who have their own families but cannot resist one another. I hope you will give it a listen and help me see we can move it up on the charts.

I really like presenting songs to you on this sight and even more I love hearing your feed back. I have also attached a video of a song that is very dear to me. I hope you will view it as well. It's a self produced project which I really like to do also.

Thank you for being a subscriber.

Best Regards
