Not sure where this track was going, but it's going somewhere. That does make it interesting. some abstract chords. there are some stops in the middle of the song which remind me of another song, but i can't remember which one. certainly an element of funk in there which i am a big fan of.

The song is ok, however, there are prominent fluctuations in the tempo of the drums, at around 2:40. It slows down considerably. Drum timing is everything. If this was intentional, probably not a great idea. It gives your audience the perspective that this drummer has a serious timing issue, especially since the slow down was slight enough as to not signal a purposely done tempo change. Also, the bass and drums timing is off. Drums and Bass need to be tight and spot on, as this is the cohesive foundation of the entire track. You will notice this at the very beginning when the song starts. The very FIRST few bass notes are not in time with the drums. The bass riff at 2:40, is COMPLETELY out of sync with the drums. There are also parts of the song that the bass is slightly sharp (out of tune) compared to the keys. These elements are critical if you want to display your work in a professional manner. I am not knocking the song, style, or overall performance, but I am advising you to pull the track and re record it. Focus on timing. Use a click track if needed. Its important. Put it this way, I was playing a club in Seattle and the band hired a temporary drummer to fill in. Half way through the show, his timing was everywhere. I was mortified and just wanted to leave the stage. I just can't stress enough the importance of bass/drum tightness and timing. It is VERY evident, even to those who are average listeners.
