PowerBall

Thanks for your interest in PowerBall, we are an old school punk band that started in 1993. Always an eclectic band we began as punk band with funk influences and developed into a more hardcore band but were very skate and surf influenced and had an old school 80s sound more than an 90s Epitaph or Fat Wreck sound. The last two years have seen us with a new lineup and getting into a heavier and darker sound because to us it seems the world has become a scarier place and the governments are owned by the elite to the advantage of only themselves at the expense of most of us. We are a band with a perspective but we also a band that celebrates women and a band that can still have fun while trying to encourage people to think for themselves and take the time to look outside their own world. One man can and has made a difference but we see the controlling powers again and again work to divide us and keep us infighting, end the family unit, use the education system and an utterly bought and paid for propaganda media to keep us ignorant and keep us focused on anything but the truth. Stand together, know who you are, love each other and know that we are capable of evolving and becoming more. Together we are POWER.

PowerBall is a Hardcore punk and Rock band with a huge list of diveres influences. Founded by Mitch Gerganous "Big Pappa" in 1993 the band was very Bad Brains influenced as well as having Chili Peppers, No Means No and Naked Raygun influences all funnelled through 60s proto punk and 70s metal topped with Art Damaged Prog sensibilities. We are now just PowerBall, we don't sound like anyone else.
Vocally:Mitch can shift from a hardcore sneer to a powerful smooth baritone, to scatting and reggae toasting.
Guitar wise: Thom "Mr. Berlin" rips the rhythm from the FEAR school of Punk but then is also a sick Hendrix and Reggae nut. Mitch and he are straight Lightening to the Thunder of the Rhythm section.
Bass:(expired link) is a wizard all on his own. From rolling reggae throbs to charging hardcore to swampy Doom Rock elements, he brings the fury when he writes and elevates anything he hops in on.
Drums: Neal "Crash" A College schooled percussionist, Neal can do it all, but in the Ball he seeks to bring the Thunder and the Power. He elevates what he plays on and he also is a great arranger and has an ear for hooks.

Check out PowerBall! A Punk rock and Post Punk band formed in 1993 and carrying on through today. We've shared the stage with Fishbone, The Meatmen, The Circle Jerks, Total Chaos, Jugheads Revenge, Hot Water Music, Antiseen, Agent Orange, Blowfly and a host of other underground legends. We are often described as the result of having a Bad Brains fanatic Viking version of Jim Morrison fronting an art damaged version of Motorhead.
