'Maaan' ~ it was a really rough week last week with a flu bug that 'really' had me down, in case you were wondering what happen'd to me missing my 2 week News Letter to all of you, especially if you live up in YellowKnife, Canada or Apache Junction, Arizona or out on St. Edwards Island...not to mention Down Under somewhere in Australia. Sorry to have kept you waiting. Homie's 'Back'! I'm going with an Ol' School ONDA Chicana/Tejano traditional roots song that I did with friends back in the late '60's thru '70 when I took a hard right turn and went into Rock 'n' Roll for like 15 years before I came back in the mid '80's. It's a song called "Carta Jugada" about a relationship most 'every' man at one time in their life has had with that one woman/girl who he knew was a mistake and just couldn't help himself and did it anyway. Maybe for the thrill or like a big time hunter who bagg'd that big trophy cat out in the wild, or hit his 1st home run...just for the 'feeling'. Then she just dumps him like a hot potato, off to the next sucker on her list. To a gambler, she's just a 'used card' in the deck ~ Thus, "Carta Jugada". In 'my' case...she took the house 'and' my dog! That's a whole different story...LOL!
