What's up Metal-Heads and OTB Freaks! m/ We've got a couple of things we want to talk to you all about in this newsletter. First, the contest we are entered into; we are entered into a competition to have an opportunity to play with some of the biggest names in Metal and Rock at the Rock on the Range Festival in Ohio. Even if you don't live near there, we ask you to still take the time to vote for us! This opportunity would immensely help our band get around and gain some attention which means we'd be able to tour and come visit our fans around the world. You are allowed to vote as many times as you want, just refresh the page and click the vote button again. Second, the Fan Experiment; we are trying something very new and it is basically an experiment but the only way it'll work is if we get fans from around the world to help. As you all know, we want to tour the world, be signed under a label, and devote all of our time to our fans and our music. We want to have an edge against other bands sending demos to record labels, so we came up with a really awesome fan-active way to make that happen and stand out above the crowd. Instead of writing a boring cover letter to a record label basically telling them why we personally think our band is the best, which would be just like everyone else's, we want to make a video of our fans from around the world telling the label why you guys love us and why we deserve to be signed. In order to pull this off, we need A LOT of our fans to participate. Basically, we just need fans to take a video, you can use a webcam, phone, or whatever you have as long as we can see you and hear you. Once you've made a video, just send it to us by email. All of this shouldn't take much time out of your day. Here's what should be included in your short video: 1. Name 2. Age 3. Where you live 4. Tell us what got you into our music/why you like it 5. Why you think we deserve to be signed to a label 6. And finally, at the end of the video please have a paper sign that says "Please sign Order Through Blood to your label" and hold it up beneath your face for about 5 seconds. Don't forget to throw up the horns! m/ We know that this all sounds like a lot, but we believe that this is a great way to get closer to our fans and stand out amongst the crowd of other bands trying to make it out there.
