Still Pickin' Newsletter V 10 #2

Still Pickin’ Newsletter - March 2018 Vol. 10 No. 2 The picking season just ahead for the band is shaping up nicely and Jim will be back from Florida in just a few more weeks. He wants to be sure the snow is gone and no more nor’easters lurking. While Jim has been away, Dennis and Patricia have gotten together through the winter months to work on new tunes for this season. They record those sessions and email them to Jim in FL so he can work on his vocal harmony and instrumental parts. Here are some of the classic country songs they’ve readied up to play for you in the months ahead: Mama Tried Catfish John Jesse James Lonesome for You Dark as a Dungeon Fourteen Carat Mind Walk the Way the Wind Blows Still Pickin’ will be returning to the South Stage at the Woodstock Fair this year on Friday August 31 at 3:30 pm. Mark your calendar and be sure to come on over and sit under the shade tent where chairs are provided. This fair is a Still Pickin’ favorite. At the Podunk Bluegrass Festival this year Still Pickin’ will be among the first to perform on the new Showcase Stage featuring local and regional bluegrass bands.
