Hello and thank you for supporting my music. At the moment – Bed and Breakfast, Killer In Her Heart, and Walkin' Through The Pine trees. Some of you have told me how much you love the songs and I really appreciate that. Perhaps I should tell you something about the songs, and I hope you find it interesting. I recorded BED AND BREAKFAST more that 10 years ago on my cassette recorder – and I gave it to a TV repair man to digitise (!). So I it layered up with that 60s sound. I'd love to hear it in a nigh club. WOW! The song is simply about going on holiday and staying in a 'B and B' (which in England is a cheap hotel) at the seaside.
Walkin' Through The Pine trees is based on one of my favourite places in the world. It's a pine forest in Norfolk, England. It was a great place to play when I was a kid, and had tall trees that you could climb and a great smell, and pine cones all over the ground. I was also thinking of David Cassidy and the Partridge Family which used to be on the TV. It's a nice friendly positive song about feeling good with the world, and feeling happy about the place you're in. I'm sure we all have happy memories of playing in the woods as kids.
Killer In Her Heart. Its a very visual song, but to be honest I don't know what its about (!) and remains mysterious. Its a Groove, and has a kind of late 60s feel. Perhaps its about dreams, and appreciating what you do have.
Well, thanks again. I'll load up a new song next month. All the best, Mark

Hi everyone,
Season's Greetings! Thanks for your continued support. I just thought I'd let you know that I've loaded up a new one called Ghost In The Machine – and I know some of you have been asking me if I've been doing any new material and I keep saying I'll put out something...so. It's actually a song I wrote a few years ago, and I was going to throw it out, but I listened to it today with new ears today – it suddenly clicked. Again, thanks to everyone who has written to me and who has encouraged my songwriting. Mark

I just want to thank everyone for your comments on my tracks. Bed and Breakfast still seems to be the favourite. It was intended for an album. Perhaps its time to do another 'Ventures/Shadows/surf'/60s - type instrumental! Meanwhile, I've loaded up a new-ish song recently called YOU WROTE MY NAME (A ON A BOTTLE). In some respects its a bit MOR. What do you think. The song just found itself. Its kinda sad about a relationship that could have happened, but never did. Its all about what could have happened and coming to terms with that, which as we all know is not easy. Almost has a Jim Morrison or Frank Sinatra feel to it. Its certainly something to croon along too. I've got loads of new songs stacked up. I tend to do an album a month. The next song I load up, will be a little more upbeat. Again, thank you for your continued support – most of my messages are from America – its nice to hear from you. Safe safe. Strange times. Mark
