Thoughtful Art Rock Song

In Love Or Hate singer and songwriter LLoyd Hart asks the questions of our values and focus. Politics, points of view and the consequences of our decisions. Love or hate? Rich man, poor man. "the rich man's illusion is it's never too late". The lyrics are compelling. Written in a style of classic art rock and are easily understood. The record could use a better mixdown without the effects on the lead vocal which would make it more likely to gain radio play. Drums could be improved upon, as well as the tempo unevenness a few times. But, alas budgets don't always allow for full instrumentation and great producers. many areas of this record are very appealing- the guitars are well played and the vocals are confident and honest. The song itself is thought provoking. I look forward to hearing more from this talented artist.

You'll love it

Lloyd Hart feels deep, sings with pain and love. You will be drawn into his world . He made me feel filled with hope an dispair." When you see thy neighbor unload your gun" he sings. The guitar is smooth, the production is very well done. I personally love the topic, he sings about the searise ( and we know it rises ), a distopian feeling ,we all know is comming near. It is not a happy song, it is not a feel good one, but in darkness we find each other .So you'll love it or you'll hate it I guess there is no middle way with Love or Hate by Lloyd Hart.

The more i hear this

The more hear this, how more i like it. It's raw and come's from the heart. It remind's of a Britisch band from the 80's, "The Church". The music give's me the same feelings, but it is on the other hand original and unpolished, just let it out. I really appreciate how he did this, straight from the hart. I love it.

Cool tune..

Really liked the groove in this tune. It has had a great melody and hook. The effect on the guitar worked well in this song too. I could totally hear this in some sort of cowboy film or a western of some sort. After listening for awhile I found myself humming the tune in my head. Good job with this musical adventure I look forward to hearing more stuff from Lloyd. Keep up the great work my friend!!!

Psychedelic Rock

Love or Hate is a catchy song. It has a chord progression that is easy to follow making it good for easy listening. I liked the solo parts as well. They definitely add to the depth of the song. If I could give you any recommendations for the future, I would say possibly add some harmony to the vocals. All in all, you are definitely heading in the right direction for wanting to make a psychedelic rock song.

Lloyd Hart, Love or Hate Review

I like the unusual mix in this song, it's both modern and at the same time has a nice vintage/eighties tone. A simple 2 chord guitar riff, nice tremolo tones and a good vocal. I think the recording could be improved in a few areas, this sounds like a first draft or work in progress but it has a lot of potential. I think the areas that could be improved slightly are the drums, I'd like to hear an acoustic kit instead of an electronic monotonous beat. I think less tremolo on the guitar during the chorus would help and I think the stops at the end of each chorus need a polish. There are a few timing errors where the vocals slips out of time, probably due to the tremolo effect. On top of that I'd try to mix the sounds up a bit to liven it up for the ear...Overall a good song with a few small points.

Nice song with great vocals.

Love the guitar effect in this song. I like the sound of your voice. You have a very nice rock vocal sound. Your vocals sound clean but there's a little bit too much delay and panning on the vocals so that the effect that you want is not getting there completely.A little bit less would just do the job. But i like the song it's easy to listen to. I like the instruments used and the solo guitar in this song. Very well done.

"Love or Hate" Review

Almost the whole song is just 2 chords.. which can sound fine sometimes but the melody isn't very interesting either. It sounds a bit repetitive. I also think the lyrics could be much better. There is too much rhyming.

Love or Hate

I like the riff on this, and really like the acoustic guitar instrumental. Unfortunately, I find the echo reverb on the vocal drowns the lyrical content and also causes time issues. Some of the lyrics are poignant, but the constant reverb detracts from the content. I would suggest a re-recording and rethink, maybe make the mix more simple, so the song itself (melody and lyric) can be appreciated more - in short, less reverb, more simplicity. Kevin
