About Lisa Graham

A teacher and performer in Calgary, Lisa is always sharing her enjoyment of music with others. Past performances have included Christmas parties, open mics, weddings, church services, concerts, charity events, and community theater productions to name a few. In the spring of 2012, Lisa traveled to Portugal to promote the importance of both science/engineering and music in education. The trip involved visiting schools in the city of Porto where students were encouraged to learn about famous scientists who were also composers and musicians. Presentations demonstrated examples of the scientists' compositions and highlighted their scientific contributions. In addition to school and public lectures, Lisa performed in two public concerts. She has continued to promote science/engineering and music in Calgary by guest lecturing at the University of Calgary and integrating science and engineering into private lessons. Lisa's teaching activities range from private lessons to band clinics. She focuses on helping students develop good tone quality and musicianship, especially through teamwork.
