I wrote the lyrics to and recorded "Child I Pray" with Daniel Christopherson, my guitarist and producer. This EP came after my brother was killed by log truck. A blessing was that a week before the accident, my sister Dianne had been hiking with our brother (also Dan) and spent a good amount of the hike letting Dan know that although our Dad may have been unable to convey in words that he loved his kids, Dad did love him and was proud of him. Dad was proud that Dan earned his doctorate in Geophysics emphasis in Volcanology, the study of volcanos. To be assured that your parent loves you and is proud of you is a good thing to know before you go, right? I have two sons and set to music my love for them, God's love for them and my hopes for them. It is like a musical benediction. Enjoy!
