As soon as these first notes hit, I was dancing! That classic country sound is what I love the most about this track. The production is slick and raw along with those funky and fun lyrics. There are parts of the song where the beat just drops and it gives that track that nice edgy feel. I'm adoring those guitar solos! You've got it! Keep on rocking!

Wow that guitar! Very unique! Keep doing what you do! It sounds fantastic! You could go straight from N1M to opening act for someone. Does Brad Paisley know about you? Best of luck to you get that music out there!

This very awesome country song was pure pleasure. Someone really must create a line dance for this excellent song. The guitar lead pushes the envelope, but doesn't cross the line. Meanwhile, the hook line and melody keeps repeating in my brain, which is what a successful hook is supposed to do. This song is fun, upbeat and tells a story I would have considered American. Larry Cann's song speaks to the American tradition: rodeo, spurs and pick-up trucks. Bred to buck.

Yarraman, Australia's Larry Cann has produced well-done country tune entitled Bred To Buck. The rhythm section is outstanding behind Cann's solid vocal performance. To my ears this song fits a radio-friendly formula while being musically sound.

Buck wild

Larry Cann brings us Bred To Buck, a raucous road song ala back of the pickup on a country road headed for the river kind of song. Lee Kernaghan, Randall Waller and Larry Cann put together a very tight 3:44 worth of southern and/or country rock from both the listener and producer's perspective. If there were anything to critique it would be the amount of compression on the mastering. I would have preferred a little more dynamic range in the final stereo out. Other than that this is a very solid effort.

Bred To Buck

Bred To Buck is a rodeo-rocking country tune that get's the blood pumping right out of the gate. With a country rocking rhythm behind the soulful vocals of Larry Cann, it's the kind of tune that makes an everyday plowboy want to cowboy-up and try his hand at bull riding. Excellent vocal harmonies and lead guitar work top this country rocker off just right. If you're in the mood for some upbeat, southern rock style rodeo jam, check it out. It's a sure bet to get your adrenaline pumping from the get-go.

Larry has a fine rodeo rocker here. Well sung, well played. I think a bit more dynamic contrast during the verse where the bull gets turned loose could have turned up the drama a bit - but that's just a personal preference. This one will get folks up on the dance floor. Great job!

For anyone who doesn't know, Slicethepie is a music review site where ordinary members of the public can join up free as a scout (also called reviewer), listen to new songs, and write a short review about the song for a small payment. Each review is just the member's opinion of the song and/or artist. No special musical skill or knowledge is required as the site wants the opinion of the wide general public. In recent years, it has also enabled members to give reviews on fashionable clothes and phone cases, but those are more of a sideline, so this article is only concerned with the music side of Slicethepie and how to write song reviews. As an experienced reviewer on Slicethepie and musician, I wrote this article to advise new scouts on how to write reviews that can be more helpful to the artist, even if they (the reviewers, not the artists) don't have any formal background in music.
