About Kole Alyse

Kole Alyse is a singer/song writer/spoken work artist who hails from the Southside of Chicago. She began singing in her Dad’s church choir at a young age and started leading songs at the tender age of 10. From singing, she moved into rapping and recorded her first rap song at age 13. When she started High School, she began taking voice lessons to learn proper vocal and breathing techniques. While in High School, she began a rap career and after being solo for a while, she teamed up with her brother to DJ and her sister to be her hype woman, in a group they would call (expired link)., which stood for Doomed Are MC’s and Crews Everywhere. They went on to do many great things including winning several talent shows and performing at High School parties.
After doing that for a few years, Kole Alyse transitioned into an R&B duo with her sister Tiffany, and they became known as Ladi Lyke, Kole and Chyna. Ladi Lyke performed at many venues across the (expired link). Notable performances include The Taste of Chicago, Martin’s Intercultural African Fest and Show Time at the Apollo. They performed with the likes of Twista, Crucial Conflict, Do or Die, The Yin Yang Twins, Johnny P, 3 Piece, Kwiet Storm, and many others in places like Mississippi, Virginia Beach, Minnesota, and California. They won several awards including a Martin’s Interculture Best New Artist award and a Chicago housing Authority award to name a few. They also became a staple at Open Mic Night at The Cotton Club. Their Maxi-Single GOONZ charted on the Billboard Independent Artist Sales Charts and they were well on their way. But life happened.
After taking some time off to raise her family, Kole Alyse has stepped back into the music world with her brand-new release, “Diary of a Woman”. Diary of a woman tells the story of a relationship from the beginning stages to the struggles of being with someone long term to forgiveness and deciding to fight to win. It will pull on the heart strings of every woman and some men too. You are almost guaranteed to find a favorite song on the album. The first single, “Same Girl” speaks to almost every woman’s journey who has been in a long-term relationship. Notable songs on the album include “Woman”, “Givin’ Up” and “We Gon’ Make It”.
