Hello there subscribers! First and foremost, I'd like to acknowledge that it's been a while since I've uploaded anything to this page and apologize for that. I'd like to offer you all some insight as to why it's been an uphill battle, as well as update you on a brand new release and keep you updated regarding future releases! Let's tackle this issue by issue: why hasn't there been more music here? Long story short, it's because I had an epiphany recently: I'm not the best at letting go of my music. I hang onto it for too long, make it more complicated and convoluted than it needs to be, and ultimately I'm still hanging onto releases that should've been public years ago. Why is this? I've set a standard for my own songwriting that I can no longer afford to meet. I've been writing and recording songs since 2007, and my creative formula stayed largely the same since then - until recently. I can no longer support the previous songwriting and release method any longer, as I'm not 17-21 anymore and my writing is much more open-ended and nuanced than it was in my teenage years. That being said, between the ages of 17 and 21 I did record 4 whole albums worth of work, which will be reissued and released in waves starting at some point this year! Having had so many finitely approached tracks in a world of spontaneity and something-from-nothing scenarios made it hard to release these projects because the writer I am now is no longer the writer I was. That being said, I have multiple nearly finished projects that will be made available to you all in the near future. More on that in a separate email. Next item, new songs on the N1M page! During the month of March, I released an EP of never before heard songs which you can check out at kirklutes.bandcamp.com :) the EP is titled A Song Makes Everything Better and is available for purchase there, alongside the 2011 album Magic Everywhere. That site will be filling out as I release material as well, so please take a look over there as well, and if you like what you hear, consider making a purchase!
