The group known, as Jesus Squad started in December 2005, Lantorrance Rudd (expired link). (expired link) started the group. (expired link) had been rapping every since he was 11, he did secular up until he was 18. At that time he got truly born again, so he had made up in his mind that he was no longer going to rap, but God had a different plan for him. God said "Son I give you this gift for a reason just because you no longer do secular music, does not mean you can not do christian music for me." So Teezy obeyed God. It started off as just (expired link) and his younger brother Demetrius Rudd (expired link). Lil Blak. Lil Blak had just started rapping at age 16 so he didnt know what to expect From it but he trusted God, and then their cousin Martavious Johnson joined the group to be a hype man he didnt rap at all. They started off in their chruch home and the church family loved it!!! It also gave them more confidence. After about 2 weeks they started telling people about what they had started doing for God. So they invited 3 of their close cousins to church by the name of Michael Summers (expired link). Young-T, Darrell Summers (expired link). Lil- D, and Martavius Summers (expired link).
