hi! please watch the youtube video of my latest recording of 'progeny' at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIqI3d3IAoA the story behind this song? wrote it for my band iron curtain in 1981. i was obsessed with mortality even then. anyway, i started to record this new version about 5 years ago with my friend/engineer the fantastic nik green, and then he died before it was finished. then several months ago i was down in their tiny recording studio with his widow, the wonderful penny little, and she found the file of this unfinished song. i liked what i heard and so i decided to finish the recording with her. it was kinda tough going because we had limited time to do this and the computer died so we had to work around that. it's kind of a minimal sound built around a basic riff like an old kinks or rolling stones tune. hope you enjoy it! thanks & cheers! -steve
