I am so excited that I finished my creepy music box song before Halloween! It was a goal of mine when I started the song over 6 weeks ago. Some 50 hours later it is complete! This was one of the more challenging songs I have wrote, and a bit different in format from the other songs. I wanted to make a composition where it was a story, and nothing repeats itself. Recording my vocals was also difficult due to the red tide that plagued the area I live. This was hell on my vocals, but overall I think it pulled together nicely, and I am glad to be finished so I can start something new! The song is from the point of view of the ballerina in the music/jewelry box that many of us had as a child. One day the idea just popped into my head, and I thought that would be fun to write!
