Hi All, This is Mark Holman from Fayetteville, North Carolina saying hello. Thanks for allowing me to send updates about my musical musings. Summer is rapidly winding down with Labor Day only a week away, Hurricane Harvey is bearing down on Texas, and I am writing music to keep pace with the delivery. Rehearsing for my almost nightly broadcasts on Periscope, I am feeling more in tune and alive with the concepts I initiated years ago. I must thank all of you for this regeneration as I thought you might like to hear a lot more of the songs I have written, so here you go. My page is plastered with them. I have not put all of these up on iTunes yet. I was hoping to transform them. I realize now, like the movie, this is as good as it gets for me. However the instrumentation is recorded, or vocals, I can only do the best I can with the ideas I hear. I long for proficiency. Rehearsal brings me closer, yet no resources drain my ambition one penny at a time. I always told myself, if it is good enough, they will come. . .ok. I still would like a boost. I am curious to know what you think. After all, I contribute noise to an already noisy universe. Does any of it make you take pause to listen? Do I fit into your playlist? Feedback is so important especially because I am too close to the material and cannot be objective beyond self satisfaction of having created something from nothing. Is that something more than nothing? I sing about that in Next to Nothing. Most of all, I am grateful, humbled, and at a loss for words to show my appreciation for the few thousand receiving this message. The world is a small place as evidenced by how diverse you are. Guess that is why I have no genre, no preconceived notions of how a song is supposed to turn out, rock, country, folk, R&B, dance,blues, etc. It just happens to be the flavor for the story behind the music, my forte, if I have a forte.
