Greetings, boys and girls! I have posted 'No Peace in this Land', the first chorus from my cantata/concept album 'So it shall be Restored', about the 16th Century English Jesuit priest St Edmund Campion. 'No Peace' is written from the point of view of Roman Catholics in England during the late 1570's and early 1580's. They were faced with the choice of swearing an Oath of loyalty to Queen Elizabeth I, in which they were pretty much to required to renounce their religion, or facing persecution. This is the first song I have recorded using EastWest 'Symphonic Choirs', a piece of software that has caused me no end of trouble. While SymphCh sounds amazing, I found it shockingly user unfriendly, particularly if you want the words to be clear (something that is very important to me). I admit that I am tempted to go back to Vocaloid for the other two chorus numbers in SISBR. While Vocaloid is not as impressive-sounding as SymphCh for choral pieces, I find that it's diction clearer and its interface much more user-friendly. (I am willing to take your comments into account in deciding which software to use!) Enjoy the song, HL
