From the Chronicles by Agathangelos - Ժամանակագրութիւն Ագաթանգեղոսի

This is a video about the martyrdom of St. Rhipsime and her friends, and how the Armenian king became a pig after killing the Saints. After, Saint Gregory the Illuminator came out of the Deep Dungeon, where he was thrown in (he stayed there for many years and everybody thought that he died there) and healed the king, and converted him and the most of the Armenians to Christianity. So, the persecutions of Christians stopped in Armenia.

The Song ''Many are Your Charities''

Dear Friends!
Thank you for your responses and reviews. Your critical comments are always taken in account. Of course, my music is not perfect, but so it is more natural. Nothing is perfect in this world, and I don't trust to this world's perfection. Main thing that you get the idea.
The song Many are your Charities is based on a same song by Mesrop Mashtots (ՄԵսրոպ Մաշտոց). The latter is probably based on a Greek church song. The performers are: Tereza Nacharyan, Anna Margaryan, violins; Hayk Ter-Hovhannisyan, Gor Hovhannisyan, violas; Armine Petrosyan, cello; Armen Hovakimyan, contrabass.
Currently, we are working on a mix based on another song by Mesrop Mashtots; hopefully, it will be ready in September.
I wish you All the Best, and have a nice vacation!

Ensemble St. Machar New songs

Dear Listener, we were on the tour, but now we are back and will work on recording a new song. This is a complicate work, since 6 people will be playing at the same time.
At the last concert we played a song written after the Psalm 40 (''I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry''). It was performed by Ivetta Korkina, violin; Armine Petrosyan, cello, and me. We also played the String Quartet by Haro Stephanian, with Tereza Nacharyan as the first violinist. I put here the link of that recording, so that you would have something from us, until my Sextet recording would be ready. Stay safe! With the Best Regards, Gor

Mesrop Mashtots Song

Dear Friends

We posted the St. Mesrop Mashtots Song recently. Mesrop Mashtots was the guy who invented the Armenian alphabet in 400AD. By the end of his life he became a hermit. It was created after the Greek alphabet, and in the order of it. Only, there are some additional letters in Armenian which are placed more near the end. Greek: Α α, Β β, Γ γ, Δ δ, Ε ε, ... Armenian: ա, բ, գ, դ, ե...
The song is performed by: Anna Margaryan, Tereza Nacharyan, violins; Gor Hovhannisyan, viola; Armine Petrosyan, cello
Our coming concert is on May 24, in Yerevan, you are welcome to attend it! I hope to put a new song after it. We also perform a new work there, by Haro Stepanian; a world premiere of a work written in 1940! I found it's manuscript in some library here.

Best Regards,
Gor
