Your my best friend

Beautiful baritone voice covering a solid classic is always a good thing. This man's voice is smooth silver and this song is perfect for him. Reminds me a lot of the old Don Williams songs. It very much enjoyed

Best Friend

This of course is a cover of one of the great hits by country crooner the gentle giant Don Williams. Instrumentally the song is covered well ans xlose to the original hit version. Vocals are good but could have been smoother and would have been easier to roll through the lyrics. Harmonies cpuld have also blended a bit more and would have made the finish product even better. A good job but a few simple changes could have even been better. Keep enjoying your music and performing. Nice job.

I call it Country Grass

I love the style. You both are very stylistically unique and that is certainly the key to being noticed. I think your music has a flare I haven;t heard in a while. Keep up the good work and I l look forward to hearing more from you. Texans have an edge to their approach it seems. I can usually point them out when they are in the mix......lol.. Curiousity, what label do you guys record under?

Great song

I listen to Willie's Roadhouse on Sirius XM and this would fit right it. Good old fashioned country with a great message. Keep up the good work. Would love to hear more. Any plans on releasing some?

Authentic original sound

Your music is great and is deep keep it up and you'll be going places you never really thought you would be going and i dont think it will take you anytime at all because the music/product speaks for itself so all you really need to do is stay focused and consistent and all that you strive for will come ten fold in no time but i really dig the tracks so ill appreciate it if you keep me posted for any future songs/videos you put out but all in all man keep it up and im liking what im hearing

Too artificial

Too many artificial ingredients in here - the rhythm section, the strings, most probably even the guitars are made of plastic, i.e. comin' out of a keyboard. The message is good and fine, even though it's been told thousands of times before. Nothing really new and exciting in this song. The production as such is ok.

From The Heart

I would like to say a few things about this song, that Country Gold is singing. I like that band name to start off with. The simpleness of a beautiful song such as this one, grabs my interest right from the start. How do you sing low like that? I like your honest vocal and background harmony. Everything is coming thru loud and clear to me the lyric is strong, music arrangement sounds very good, keep up the good work!!!!!!!!! Songedge

A tribute to all married folks

Country Gold Entertainment's song, "You're My best Friend" is a heartfelt tribute to married couples and to the institution of marriage. The choice of lyrics is simple, sincere, and justifiably corny especially in the context of the subject matter at hand. Love IS corny! Yuppers, people who are in love and care deeply about their partner are the corniest creatures on God's green earth...Amen ;) These two have put together a very nice production. The mellow sound has a lot to do with the male and female vocals backed up by an old school traditional country arrangement featuring pedal steel, telecaster, a synthesized string arrangement, and cameo appearances of various traditional instruments. Listening to the metaphors that they use to describe their partner in life and what it means to them made me think about the woman I love. It really got me thinking and yearning for my baby. It's infectious and insidious...in a good way! The world needs more songs like this! Well, we're one song closer with Country Gold Entertainment's "You're my best friend: ;)

GOOD COVER

Listening to this great song reminded me of how Country Music should be presented and sang - easy on the ear and a song that most listeners can relate to. Country Gold give listeners that with their rendering of this popular number. Good luck in the future guys and always keep it Country. Hope that you get plenty of gig work - regards Johnny Ramone of Angel International Management (UK).

Lovely traditional country song sounds like Conway Twitty

WOnderful happy traditional country song about love and marriage. Heartwarming lyrics. Lovely steel guitar enhances the beauty of this lovely song. Nice arrangement and beat, the guitars and violins perfectly compliment the drums and bass. Wonderful country voice like George Strait and COnway Twitty.

Best Friend...

Jim, what am I reviewing here? I believe what I am hearing is you doing a vocal cover of a song (that has been played and covered by many, Don Williams?) to something that sounds like a karaoke background track. I can't review this. Best of luck to you.

Pretty damn good.

I really enjoyed this cover of one of my favourite songs. This version has an authentic sound. I love the song and have heard Don Williams singing it when he visited the UK. The vocal is pretty damn good
