Greetings, I want to thank you all of you so much for your encouraging emails these past few weeks. Its very well appreciated. I'm glad you're listening and enjoying the great music. It’s been a roller coaster ride of the weather these past few weeks. I had a gig on Feb 15th up in Albany, MO for a Valentines dinner. That morning we had a blizzard/white out in where I didn’t think I was going to make it to the gig being it was 100 miles away. Later in the afternoon, the snow stopped and road conditions looked to be fairly decent so I headed out to Albany, MO. Luckily the roads were not too bad. I did get stuck behind a snow plow but made the gig in plenty of time and everyone loved it. It was a nice gig and exciting because it was in a part of town that I never been to. So it’s always exciting to be in new territory. The drive was actually very scenic with the fresh snow covering the rural foot hills of Missouri. ----------------------------------------------------------- Radio Interview in Lubbock Texas!! ----------------------------------------------------------- This past week I had a radio interview at www.christianbeats.us. The Dj Les contacted me from Lubbock Texas and loved my music that he wanted to a radio interview. That’s exciting when opportunities arise like this. I’m glad people are listening and enjoying the music. ---------------------------------------------------- Writing New Songs ---------------------------------------------------- I spent time writing one song that I finished and was going to record and then I came up with another song that I liked. Just recently I came up with a 3rd song that I’m writing so I’m not sure where this is going but I do enjoy writing new songs and would like to see them recorded. I would like for you to enjoy and listen to them as well. It’s expensive to record and now very few people actually buy music because most people stream for free. It bad for the artist because we artists would like to make money on our work/art. ----------------------------------------------------------- Charlie Parker Study ----------------------------------------------------------- I always try and find ways to improve my skills on the sax. So with the suggestion of a another saxophonist, I am currently involved with a Charlie Parker study. I bought some books and his recordings and going through to try and imitate his playing and style. Its been very challenging and good. In case you don’t know who Charlie Parker is, he was one of the greatest sax guys around. Not just a player but an innovator. Just look him up on google. ----------------------------------------------------------- Gigs are picking up!! ----------------------------------------------------------- This is good. I am getting bookings for many private events which are always fun and exciting. If you’re planning an event, please keep me in mind for your entertainment needs. Be Blessed.
