Born - London, Ontario 1942, grew up in Kitchener t- studied at Oscar Peterson's "Advanced School For Contemporary Music"1961-'62 - became a member of Ronnie Hawkins group from Dec.'65 to May'68 when, under the auspices of Doug Riley, began studio work.
Extensive studio, television, concert and club experience in Jazz, Blues, R&B, Rock and Country genres - Jazz affiliations included regular membership in groups led by Peter Appleyard, Lenny Breau, Hagood Hardy, Moe Kaufman and Riley from '68 through '74.
Recorded with Jesse Winchester – 5 tracks on his inaugural album and all tracks on ‘77’s “Nothin’ But A Breeze” with extensive touring, '76-'78.
Played on Peter, Paul and Mary’s “Reunion” tour, summer ’78, worked the live segment of the Tommy Hunter Show, '78-'80, Hawkin's CTV "Honky Tonk" show, '81-2 and a stint with Carl Kees' country group, ’85-’97.
More recently - '98-2011 - a member Cambridge guitarist Glenn Murch's jazz trio.
As of October 2011, living in Chilliwack BC, addressing a long suppressed urge to compose - current tunes are in Latin Jazz and New Age/Trance settings.
