Simplicity is beauty

A very nice old school country song, reduced to the max I would say. No unnecessary gimmicks, just the basics, and all of them good. A lead voice full of character, a violin playing along with the vocals and setting a beautiful contrast, a female voice that fits very well to the male one, and an acoustic guitar that sets the pace. The song's got the right length, and already while writing these words I feel that the hook line of the chorus will stay inside my head for the remainder of the day. Another proof that keeping things as simple as possible is just the best.

True love

Dear dave, dyno and the roadkill orchestra. I like the honky tonk sound of your song. It a good beat. You have good singing voice. I once wrote a song called true love, it was an easy listening record. Like your genre. Wish you all very best with your music. Nicole

Somehwere On The Porch

Raw and honest, beautifully sounding like family and friends are sitting on the porch to make music together on a muggy summer evening. Instrumentation and vocals blend together fine. Would be nice to track this pretty song in a studio and really get down to and work out all the little details performed by the fiddle, banjo and vocals. But to capture a musical moment like this as is done here, has a special charm to it, which sometimes beats perfect.

Traditional Country

This is traditional Country at its best. It tells an awesome love story that we all can relate to. I think someone like George Strait would be a great fit for this song. Great job by an awesome band.

True Love - 5 star song

This song is why I think the best music out there is on sites like this . The lyrics are Hank Williams good. I believe every word. Growing old together -having a life long witness to your life is a blessing. Your vocals and guitar are perfect for the song. The backing vocalist has just the right voice to compliment the chorus . The violin is also a big plus. I have listened to Dave,Dyno and the Roadkill Orchastra before and admire your unique view of music and the world . I will always be a fan.

Dave, Dyno & the Roadkill Orchestra Keep'n it real

It's really inspiring to hear not only talented, but truly inspired musical performances. This is especially true when exceptionally talented musicians coalesce in an ensemble as unique as the Dave, Dyno and Roadkill Orchestra. It's so ironic that these folks chose such a name for themselves. They're about as far from roadkill as you can get. They're performance quality is about as smooth as a sable for a Fox stole. The vocals are clear, sincere, and ernest without being polished. The fiddle'n is skilled and in tone, but just raw enough to be totally authentic hillbilly deluxe. The icing on the cake here is that the production and engineering staff have captured everything as it should be. The imagery is of exceptionally high quality. I really enjoyed listening to this track. The culmination of all of these wonderful performance and production qualities takes the listener to an almost sacred place where one can get lost in the story and the imagery of this bittersweet song. I definitely look forward to hearing more from Dave, Dyno and Roadkill Orchestra...hopefully real soon ;)

An Honest Love song

David, Dyno and the Roadkill Orchestra are on to something pretty cool here. True Love is a touching tribute to a lifetime relationship that has stood the test of time. The songwriter takes the stories of relationships and demonstrates how deeply a loving relationship can go. This is compelling and deeply touching. Musically, this is a lovely song that does what it sets out to do- to reach the listened with a beautiful sentiment of true love. The recording quality could be improved but the performances are honest and very engaging. If you love a sweet song of love this is one for you. I look forward to hearing more from this talented artist and songwriter.

Unique

Dave, simple words are the easiest to digest. This song reminds me when life was so simple as a kid and how one would shake on a promise that was made. The words and the music are really smooth, all of the instruments fit like a ball in a glove and just takes you away to a more carefree time as a young adult. These type of songs just keep coming back around like a boomerang. The are easy to remember. Songedge

good old country

retrospective good ol country music, nice guitar and voices, reminds me of kenny rogers, its quite a nice tune plucking banjo in the background good mix, all instruments perfectly balanced in the mix, its not my favourite type of music but its done professionally, i'm not convinced its a great song ,its a good tune, but thats it , there millions of songs like this so i think they need to put a bit more originality in there somewhere, but I'm not knocking this , this is my opinion only , i wish you all the very best with this keep on strumming and good luck

True Love

Love the instrumentation and especially the fact that it doesn't overpower the vocals. Great subject and story progression. More flowing than Copperhead Road but afraid it may be a little too close.

Nice work

4 Stars because it takes a mega hit for me to give 5 but what a great job on the entire package. I appreciate real harmonies instead of the caned and generated box backups these days. The recording was really tastefully mixed. Most of all, I really like the John Prine vocal style. The song itself sounds like I song I have heard before but I couldn't place it - maybe I'm a fool and this is a cover. Anyway, I like the tune and it is exactly what I would listen to on a bluegrass mood afternoon.

Oh wow this is Gorgeous

This is gorgeous, nice harmonies, good instrumentation. Its a great tune to listen to as well as dance too. Very meaningful lyrics. This is the type of folk tune I like acoustic guitars, violins, nice harmonies, a kind of Seasick Steve meets John Denver

Back to real country roots

How refreshing it is to hear a song which features a singer who can be heard with a gentle rhythmic backing behind him - great harmonies and some really good instrumental sounds. Thank you Dave and the band for bringing back real country sounding music - back to the roots rather than the ''dance'' style purporting to represent Country Music. Keep it Country buddy - wishing you all the best for the future. Regards, Johnny Ramone :-)

True Love,

True love is well sang, love the little gal singing your back-up. For me this song is well recorded, and deserves a place in the music charts.Kinda reminds me of Rodney Carrington, and you can't go wrong with that, best of luck. Guy

American Testament to Love -- From The Heartland

#True #Love--A beautiful, folksy, ballad with an Appalachian style. Slow, steady, toe-tappin', fingerpickin', bluegrass, americana, poignant, tribute--these are all words that describe this testament to an enduring love simply stated with an economy of musical material which forms a rugged foundation for the story. This song ha a universal appeal that pays tribute to American Veterans throughout our country. Well produced, understated grace, the poise under pressure that defines #grace. #Awesome #Job! ~LarninCurve

Love this song!

"True Love" got me right at the start and kept it up until the end. Dave sings this one with heart and soul. The band is tight and accompanies the vocal perfectfully. This one is simple and straightforward, no mysteries to solve. This story ever more common among americans these days. A real good record from an obviously talented artist. Nicely recorded and mixed as well. I think you've got a lot of potential here and I wish you the best of luck with it! DW
